It was near 70 degrees today. I’m not complaining but a bit odd for late February. Besides the usual morning walk, I took Leo out this afternoon or 10 minutes of hardcore sprints up and down the block. He gets beyond exciting when he sees my put on my roller blades. Personal note: I do not recommend everyone tries going up and down the block with their dog while wearing rollerblades. There is a special amount of trust and communication you must have with your dog to do this. You also should be pretty damn comfortable on rollerblades and know how to bring yourself and the dog to a complete stop quickly.
4 Years ago today we picked up our pup Leo. We love this dog so much.
On any given day all kinds of fun things wash up along the rocks of the Verrazano channel during low tide. Today Leo scored himself a brand new Adidas soccer ball.
It is national love your pet day. Here is my buddy Leo. I had to wake him up to get him to do a trick. The only way I could get him up was to tell him we were going to go roller skating. He goes crazy when I put on my Rollerblades. We head to the block at full speed.
If I could only be this relaxed some day.
The only thing that makes suffering through the cold winter worth it are #Snow Days
We have been working on this trick for a long time. Last night it all came together for the first time.
There are few parts to this trick. First, you must get the dog to be very steady. Next he must know that he can not eat the dog biscuit until you give him the command. These two steps are fairly easy. They took a few weeks of training and trying the trick on and off. It was the final part of the trick, catching the dog biscuit in the air that took as a long time to figure out. And ultimately Leo needed to figure it out, not us. So without further ado here is our dog Leo doing the complete Dog Biscuit On The Nose Trick.
How could I let National Dress Up Your Pet day go by without adding a great picture of Leo.
