It has been seven days since I began my Facebook cutback. Helped by an App called Freedom and a little bit of good old fashion discipline I have been able to reduce my use of Facebook to about 10 minutes in total for the past week. The biggest change I feel in my overall mood. I still will browse the news on various sites for a few minutes a day to keep up with the headlines but for whatever reason, I don’t seem to care or be as mentally invested in what is going on. I still have concern for what is going on in the world but I know longer feel like I am standing in the middle of a street fight between the left and right parties of our political system. Don’t get. And Facebook has become the platform for many people to do that. I personal just don’t feel that it is healthy to be absorbing some much negative energy each day. Scrolling through one headline after the other is just food for anxiety and anger. And rightfully so, but that anxiety and anger creeps into our thought process and disrupts our well-being.
Less Facebook, more Happiness.
