A Farewell To Arms by Ernest Hemingway.
(Total reading time 1 minute)

I have finished reading a total of 35 books now on my quest to read 40 before the end of the year.  Right now it looks like i might raise the bar from 40 to 50, it all depends on when I hit book number 40. After all I still want to read The Stand before the year is over as well and that book is a monster. Book 35 was A Farewell To Arms. I loved this book from beginning to end.  Hemingway’s writing style is direct and easy to read.  I read the book through the course of two full days. It was just so easy to turn another page and keep reading. In comparison I read Jack London’s Call Of The Wild just before this and struggled to get through less then 200 pages. I liked Call Of The Wild it just wasn’t quick for me to read. I have liked most every thing I have read by Hemingway so far. The only thing that annoyed me through out A Farewell To Arms was Catherine’s endless use of the word darling. “Darling…. Darling…” Then again maybe given the time period the story took place this would be a common thing.

Cozy up under the nightlight starting a page one and you will be threw it in no time.

Thats all I have to say.
